Update on Brody

An email I sent out earlier:

Hi Friends and Family!

I just received a call from Dr. N's office. They scheduled my c-section for next Thursday, 10/22 arrive at 6am, c-section @ 8am. Dr. N made a point to say that this is not set in stone... he said that if he feels at any time between now and then that I need to go in for delivery he will send me to the hospital. This is why he has me coming in everyday between now and then. Depending on blood levels, NST test results and how my body reacts to this medicine they started me on. He advised that Adam not go out of town next week in case Dr. N decides to take Brody earlier. Otherwise, if all continues to go well, Brody will definitely be here Thursday. We continue to ask for your prayers, specifically for Brody to be fully developed and for the cholestasis to not affect him in any way. We ask for prayers for his heart, we are still believing that it will be healed! I ask that you pray that I will not have significant blood loss (a complication to the mother with cholestasis) and that I will recover from the c-section. I am obviously very nervous and worried at the moment, but at the same time trying to stay strong and rely on the strength that only comes from God. This has been a roller coaster of a pregnancy and in a way I am looking forward to it coming to an end. ;) We also ask for prayers for Gavin that he will go through this transition smoothly and for his current health issues. He broke his heart monitor and they sent us a new one yesterday. We are waiting to hear back from the cardiologist on whether or not to start him back on the new one or wait until things settle down and Adam and I are back at home with him after Brody's birth. Thanks again family and friends for your support during this time.

Faith

Oh wow. You really have been on a roller coaster. Good luck next week! I hope that Brody stays put so that his little lungs will have plenty of time to finish developing! On the bright side, at least you two are no stranger to the hospital life and complications! I will pray that you get to catch a break!

Hello! I know you don't KNOW me - I promise I not a crazy stalker. I log on to my husband's Facebook and see your updates sometimes. My heart breaks for you and have been so encouraged by your faith. Keep believing - God is good and his plan, although I question it many times, is always so much better than ours! I have been praying for you!

Oh Faith, I can't imagine how much of an emotional toll this is all taking on you. I just cried reading your post thinking of all you guys are going through and how scary the unknown can be. We are lifting, you, Brody, Gavin, Adam and all your requests up in our prayers. Please let me know if there is anything, anything at all we can do for you guys!
