Getting ready...

Gavin has been on house arrest since we found out about the surgery date. Which means mommy and Gavin have pretty much stayed in their pj's for days now. Finding things to do for an active two year old is hard... but we managed!

Silly Boy!Bubble Bath with Daddy... Shaving with Grandpa...

Dying Easter eggs with Mom...
Getting goodies from the Easter bunny...
Trying on Grandpas shoes...

Chef Gavin makes a sandwich...

Wearing Mr. Potato Heads glasses...
Sing...Sing...Sing

I got to your blog from Kelly Stamps' - I have a 28 year old brother named Gavin. when he was born, the name was pretty uncommon. He was sick from the day he was born and at 14, he was finally diagnosed with a rare cancer and given a year to live. He battled and battled with his courage and charm that I will always associate with the name "Gavin". Today, he is healthy and strong (and a little spoiled!. Reading about your Gavin this morning amazed me at their similarities! I wanted to let your family know that you have our thoughts and prayers for Gavin's surgery on the 22nd. We will be praying for you from South Carolina!

Gavin will be in my prayers for a quick and "easy" Fontan (that's possible, right?!?) Our daughter has HRHS and has a cath scheduled for the same day as Gavin's surgery. Must be a great day! Anyway, thinking of you as your approach this...I know I can't wait to get it out of the way and we still have a couple of years! Hugs to Gavin...he's sure a cutie!
Love,

What precious pictures! Looks like you guys have been having lots of fun family time. I love all of Gavin's pajamas. So cute! I also love the video of him singing. I sing "Jesus Loves the Little Children" to Paxton all the time, so maybe he and Gavin can put on a little concert for us sometime.

As always, you, Adam, and Gavin are in our prayers. You guys will have lots of prayer warriors here in Tennessee...I'm spreading the word!!

I have a picture of Jack JUST LIKE YOURS with those Mr. Potatohead glasses!

My advice to you regarding the Fontan is to KNOW that you can make it through. Seriously I had a hard time and completely had a melt down in the PICU- but restrospectively, I knew Jack was going to be fine the whole time. And hearing him tell us that he feels better is the BEST way to help me realize that it was all for the best! Good luck on wed!
