Gavin is so sweet. He says a prayer for the baby in "his" tummy every night. In fact, that is how my parents found out. At dinner Gavin said the prayer and thanked God for the baby. My parents looked confused and we started laughing and crying. My parents were shocked too! At our first ultrasound Gavin told Dr. N (my OBGYN) that mommy "ate the baby". I wonder where he heard that?? We had our second ultrasound on Monday. Baby looks great! Gavin didn't make it to that appointment because he was still recovering from his cath. So we didn't get any pictures. I do have ultrasound pictures, however, our scanner is not working right now. We ask that you pray for this baby and "his/her" health. We found out about Gavin's condition when I was 20 weeks. So the anxiety every time I have an appointment builds up more and more!
Gavin is on the mend, much better and more playful! We should hear from Dr. P in the coming weeks about a surgery date. It is definitely bittersweet. I wonder what life is going to be like with out another surgery "looming" over us. Pre-surgery is difficult for us... I think especially this time. Gavin is very aware of his surroundings, pain, discomfort. He knows when something isn't right and it scares me to watch him in pain. He is extremely verbal now and I just know that will be hard to deal with. We appreciate your love and support during this time!
Sorry for lack of posts lately, I haven't felt the best!

CONGRATS!! We will definitely keep your growing family in our prayers!
So happy to hear Gavin is on the mend. Last I knew you were on the way to SFH Friday. I guess everything turned out ok. Whew!
Excited to know what your having- hate waiting... also to know that everything is ok with the baby's health. We are always thinking about you all and keeping you in our daily prayers. Maybe w/ RSV season on its way out we can get Hope & Gavin together to play. Be seeing you soon at the walk if not before.
Love you guys!
Congratulations!!
Congratulations! I'm so excited for you...and I totally understand how God's timing is best...we found out we were preggo when Dale didn't have a job! But somehow, God took care of everything and here we are in California! Crazy...thanks for blogging and we pray for Gavin all the time...and now the new baby too!
Great Story. Gavin's going to make a great big brother.
Oh, I know the fears and worries about the baby after the heart baby. Just know that you can handle whatever comes and that I am confident that your second baby will be healthy. That is our prayer for you.

Congrats on the new baby. God has a plan for everything, you can always take comfort in that. Gavin will be in my prayers with the surgery approaching, of course you and Adam will too. Tell Gavin congrats as will since he is going to be a big brother.
So, I can't believe I missed this post! I'm so happy for you!
Congrats on the new baby. I'm very happy for you and although mine didn't turn out as I had hoped, I hope yours is everthing you wanted. A normal pregnancy, and being able to take the little one home with you when you leave the hospital.
Thanks for the prayers. I'm only now since it's all over being able to grieve about our loss.
I was seriously waiting for an "April Fools"!!
You are so brave to be pregnant...and have a child going through surgery. But really, I'm quite jealous, because Jack is so lonely being an only child and we selfishly wanted to wait till he was done with surgeries. So I guess we'd better get on it!
