What a week...

Let me just start off by saying this has been one crazy past week/weekend! It started off Tuesday when we pretty much rushed Gavin to the ER around 8am. He woke up acting very lethargic and changing from blue/pale, no lip color to pink, back and fourth. Then he wouldn't even stand up on his own and his eyes were dilated. Adam hadn't left for work yet and we both thought it was in the best interest to take him to the ER immediately. He wasn't running a fever, no cough, no running nose, nothing. Before we made it out of the neighborhood he projectile vomited several times all over the car. Still looking blue and his lips were as white as his face. We arrived to the ER and they immediately take us back, at this point Gavin hands were turning blue. The nurse took him temp. it was normal. His O2 stats were normal, very shocking to us! However his blood pressure was 140/70. His high blood pressure was unusual for him. Gavin is on bp medicine but usually doesn't have any high or low readings in less he's just had a procedure done. Gavin perked up, actually became quite wired and was back to normal, so we were discharged. Fast forward to Thursday, my sister was home from school for a doctors appointment and asked if she could baby sit Gavin. I was more than happy to allow her to do that because I needed to finish up some errand running before Brody arrives. Kristen took Gavin up to my parents office to eat lunch and I received a call at 1 from my mom saying that Gavin was pale and lethargic acting. By the time I got there he was laying in my mom's lap pale and sweaty and he said he didn't feel good. He also told us his "boom-boom" (heart) hurt. So I put in a call to the pediatrician and they wanted Gavin admitted to the hospital immediately. Gavin had several tests run and again his blood pressure was very high 146/78. So we spent the night for observation and tests. The next morning the doctor said that Gavin had some "heart irregularities" in the middle of the night. Something we were afraid of, our cardiologist had concerns about that when we told him Gavin's symptoms. They made contact with Gavin's cardiologist Friday night and they approved for him to go home. Tomorrow a 30 day heart halter monitor will be shipped to our house for Gavin to wear. He will wear it for 30 days to keep track of any irregularities. There will also be a button for us to push anytime he has anymore of these "blue spells". So let's back up to Thursday night. Adam insisted I go to my grandmothers (who lives close to the hospital) to sleep since I am rather large now and probably would have rolled of the window bed. I agreed and made plans to be back at 6 so Adam could go home and get ready for the work day. I get to my grandmothers, fall asleep and wake up a few hours later with the chills. Early Friday morning my grandmother came in the room and I told her how horrible I felt, I took my temp. and sure enough I had a fever. I put in a call to the dr. they got me right in. He said "if I was a betting man, you have the swine -flu"... DO WHAT?!? So I was pretty frantic. Next thing I know a woman covered in a get-up of scrubs, hat, gloves, goggles, mask came in and swabbed my nose. By the afternoon the dr. called and said that the tests results were negative, but he had a lot of false-negative readings and was pretty sure I still had the flu. So I was ordered to stay in bed, stay hydrated and go to the hospital if I got worse. Well by Saturday I felt like death, but stuck it out. I was so sad to be away from my boys and it broke my heart to not be at the hospital taking care of my baby.The dr ordered that I stay away from Gavin until I was fever free for 24 hours. I was finally able to come home last night! I am feeling much better, still a little congested but better! Thank you to Nana & Zee for helping Adam out at the hospital and for Mimi taking care of Gavin at home. Thank you to Granny B for taking such good care of me!!! I don't know how we'd do it with out you all!
